Evangelism – Church Planting is an exciting facet of the ministry of Living Word Ministries International in the Nation of Thailand, A bold vision to plant and build 1000 churches is fueling the growth of this ministry. We work through the graduates of our two year bible school to evangelize unreached areas. Once a pocket of believers is established a church is constructed. In many cases the entire village will come to Christ within a couple years. Thousands of people have been won to the Lord through this method.

Our church planters effectively and methodically plant new churches then use each base as a point to reach out into new areas where the Gospel has not been established. Our church building teams them follow the church planter's efforts constructing church buildings at each new site. We currently have over 50 church planters – evangelist on our team along with four church construction teams.

Pastor / Evangelist Sponsorship

Why not sponsor one of our church planters or pastors? These men work tirelessly in very difficult situations. Especially the church planters, there are no “offerings” to sustain their efforts as they spread the Gospel in new regions. You can fully support a minister for only US$100.00 per month.

The Vision: In 2000 we have launched an evangelism church-planting program that has proved to be very successful. We have pioneered and constructed over 70 churches. Our goal is to plant and build at least twelve churches a year. We are also committed to provide pastors at all of these churches. The majority of these pastors are graduates from our 2-year bible school program.

The Plan: We have developed a simple plan for the church construction. Our normal method of construction is cement block and then plastering both sides (stucco). We normally use a steel frame for the roof structure and then tile the roof. If the area has an abundance of timber we will buy local timber and use that either for partial or total construction. The cost for a church is $5000.00. We also build a pastors house at each location. The cost for the pastors house is $2000.00.

The Team: We have four church building teams complete with a full set of construction tools; welder, generators, planers, and a dump truck, etc.. This enables us to keep our cost low.

Parsonage Project: After building churches for two years we realized that our overseeing pastors were challenged for living quarters. We then initiated a “Parsonage Project” so that the pastors would have a place for their family to live. We now build a simple parsonage at almost every location. It is a two bedroom simple house. Our cost for the parsonage runs $2000.00.

How To Help: This is a great project but it can not be done alone. We have a very committed evangelism/church planting team of over 50 men. They are continually breaking into new regions where the Gospel has not penetrated. Literally thousands of people have been born again through this outreach. We need help through churches, businesses and individuals that will help finance the church and parsonage projects. We have a waiting list of churches that are ready to be built.
